KGF 2 is here! Fans have been eagerly waiting for the second part of Yash's action entertainer which is set in India's gold country. This time Yash is up against the brutal Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) who is ready for any bloodbath to reclaim his mines. The first half sets up viewers nicely for the clash between Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) and Rocky (Yash). The dialogues, BGM and the towering presence of the two actors keep you glued to the screen. Prakash Raj is fab as the narrator. With Adheera winning the first round fans have to wait and see how Rocky re-establishes his supremacy. The movie is an adrenaline and testosterone fest. Prashanth Neel looks heavily inspired by the gangster flicks of the 80s. Sanjay Dutt as Adheera looks menacing and this is a treat for Baba's fans.

Yash reprises the role of rocky, which has become a cultural icon, and he nails it. With ease and confidence, he reintroduces all of the laid-back attitude and swag associated with the role. With the suits and beard, the styling is fantastic. As an actor, though, he faces no new challenges in the second chapter. One may even argue that the first half had a stronger emotional and heroic balance. It's all about heroism here, and he delivers it in spades. In kgf 2, srinidhi Shetty reprises her supporting role from the first film. It is, nevertheless, more important to the story and less spectacular than the first half. She criticizes a plot twist in the film.

On the other hand, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and Editor Ujwal Kulkarni work in tandem to give us some amazing frames. The desaturated color palette adds to the mood of the film. The cuts in the chase sequences would stand as a testament to Kulkarni's editing skills. Among the performances, Prakash Raj's voice fits the narrator's role well, Sanjay Dutt looks menacing as Adheera and ends up as the perfect foil for Rocky.

Overall, Prashanth Neel and Co have successfully recreated the magic of KGF Chapter 1, rarely losing focus on what they intended to achieve. With all the actors chipping in with useful performances, and Ravi Basrur and Yash carrying the film forward with their respective energies, KGF Chapter 2 ends as a solid commercial flick that has a solid emotional core.
